Kris has glazed and fired the first few bones. She is glazing and firing in small batches so we can evaluate the glazes as we go.
The fish plate is fused to the green bone. Items are placed close together in the kiln to make the best use of space. The tail on the fish plate dipped down and kissed the bone. They are stuck tight together so Kris will remake the green bone.
Watching the first bones come out of the kiln has been a delight.
